An unexpectedly warm morning. A sign of a day when summer is making one last push. It’s late summer. I felt like taking the Schleusenland loop through and behind the palace gardens, of course, doing interval walking with breathing and meditation exercises by the hidden creek a little further on, just beyond the large shiplock weir. Today’s subject was two of the three small wild cherry trees. I have no idea if it was a beaver or someone else who slit open and partially removed about half a meter of bark from the trees just above the ground. Maybe these trees even do this themselves for some reason. In any case, they were “bleeding” quite a bit at the exposed spots, oozing sap, of course, and I documented it for you.
Ein unerwartet sehr warmer Morgen. Vorbote eines Tages, an dem sich der Sommer noch einmal aufbäumt. Es ist Spätsommer. Ich hatte Lust auf die Schleusenlandrunde durch den und hinter dem Schlosspark, natürlich im Intervall-Walking mit Atem- und Meditationsübungen am versteckten Bach ein Stückchen weiter noch hinter dem großen Schleusenwehr. Das Motiv für heute boten zwei der drei kleinen Wildkirschenbäume an. Keine Ahnung, ob das ein Biber war oder wer den Bäumen kurz über dem Boden rund einen halben Meter Rinde aufgeschlitzt und teils entfernt hat. Vielleicht machen diese Bäume das ja aus irgendeinem Grund sogar selber. Jedenfalls haben sie an den offenen Stellen ordentlich „geblutet“, also geharzt natürlich, und das hab ich für euch dokumentiert.
