I have a challenge for those of you who claim to believe in freedom, liberty and the Constitution. I've often said that those who vote for Trump, Hillary and MOST of Congress and the Senate don't believe in these things, yet, those who did still claim that they do.
Someone convince me that those who vote for people like McCain, Trump, HIllary, Charlie Rangel, Nancy Pelosi and others of their ilk can still claim to believe in freedom and liberty.Within just a few short seconds on Google I can find a news story or video of Trump claiming that he'd do something that is clearly unconstitutional yet he still won the election. Real quick, off the top of my head....expanding stop and frisk and being OPEN to reinstating the Patriot Act and all of it's data gathering on citizens.
He has said these things and the videos, news reports are READILY available. Trump supporters will STILL tell me that they believe in freedom and liberty though. The Constitution clearly prohibits the collection of your data without a warrant, the Constitution clearly prohibits searches without a warrant unless there is suspicion of a crime. Just walking down a street should NEVER make someone subject to a search. This isn't THAT far out there. It's not some kinda of crazy concept, it's a CONSTITUTIONAL concept. Please, please, without telling me how fucked up Gary Johnson was(that's not the issue here), how as a freedom loving American you could consider voting for Trump and telling me that you believe in freedom and liberty.Same goes for Congress......Almost every Congressman and Senator has voted yes on the NDAA which says that the President and the President alone can indefinitely detain AMERICAN CITIZENS without charges or trial if he even THINKS that they might be a terrorist. You don't get a trial, you don't get a lawyer, your family doesn't have to be told where you're being held, you can simply be put away somewhere and forgotten about. Yet people who claim to be patriotic freedom loving Americans vote OVERWHELMINGLY for incumbents.
Go ahead, make me think that Americans have freedom and liberty in mind when they vote for whoever they voted for.
