Knowing the future sometimes is a gift of vision which some people have from God. Whenever we're in problems we usually want to know what the major problem is all about by knowing what is going on and what will happen tomorrow. But the bible made it clear that the future belongs to only God to know. God knows the end from the beginning, and His plans are beyond human understanding. Instead of trying to control or predict the future, believers are encouraged to trust in God’s wisdom and guidance.
God sometimes reveals to us about the future through his prophets but he only reviews some part for us to know. God select the people he reveals his vision about the future to. However, even then, the purpose of prophecy was not simply to satisfy curiosity about the future but to call people to repentance, obedience, and faithfulness. The focus was always on living rightly before God in the present.
