According to the biblical way, knowing the future is something that only belongs to God and is not up to any human sights or thinking. God knows all the things that are going to happen in future, while humans only know about a limited things about how the future will look. Although people may desire to know what lies ahead, the Bible consistently emphasizes trust in God rather than dependence on predictions, divination, astrology, or other attempts to discover hidden knowledge.
The bible teaches us to seek for the face of God. God wants us to live a good and responsible life instead of seeking for powers for us to know about the future. Prophetic messages in Scripture were often given not merely to satisfy curiosity about future events but to call people to repentance, obedience, hope, and faithfulness.
