Hello my fellow Steemians(did I say that right?)!!! I'm never good at this introduction thing, so this might be mercifully short. I don't really spend much time on social media as it seems mostly geared toward headlines. It's nice to find a place that encourages stories. I have an insatiable appetite for learning and discovery.
I will incorporate pictures and video into my posts, who's subject will be anything that piques my interest. The things that interest me the most include animals, nature, humor, mystery/paranormal, travel, and life/health tips. A man named Jim Valvano once said we should do three things every day. We should laugh, we should find time to think, and we should be moved to tears. If my posts accomplish one of those three things I'll consider it a success.
Well, thank you for reading this. I hope that you enjoy my posts and your Steemit experience . I'll leave you with a simple little video I made. Video editing is a hobby of mine, so some of my videos are "experimental". This is one such case. For a couple of years I would keep seeing this cardinal flying around but could never get a camera in time. Well, on Thanksgiving morning 2016, I was playing around with my camera. It's not the greatest camera, but I bought it for it's zoom(70x optical). There I was, filming nothing in particular, when the cardinal suddenly flew into my viewfinder! Now, the downfall of zooming is that it makes a tripod essential. Keeping the camera steady is impossible otherwise. But moments like this don't occur on a schedule, so I didn't have that luxury. Still, I managed to get about a minute of usable footage of that beautiful bird. Enjoy...
