My Two Degree Acts. We are back in the #tbt of Thursdays; this time I had planned to make another video, however for technical reasons it was not possible, so I did not want to lose this day to offer you another memory; in this case it will be referred to my experiences in the two acts of professional degree. Logically, a little limited in terms of images that evoke those times due to the loss of many of them, but the important thing is to bring to all of you my experiences and the emotion that is experienced and felt when we are in these acts. For me one is bigger, more emotional and with more scope than the other, and although both are important, the second title represents dedication, desire to keep moving forward and not to be defeated, so let's get down to business and start these great memories that left in me a lot of learning.

Logically, in order to advance to the next professional level, I had to graduate from high school and this happened in 1990. This was something wonderful and accelerated, since on Friday was the graduation ceremony, on Saturday would be the graduation party and on Sunday I had to leave for the city of Caracas Venezuela, because on Monday I started university studies at the University Santa Maria. Imagine a 16 year old boy in the capital, inexperienced, immature; well the truth is that I left, but I did not last long because I did not love the career and a few months later I returned to Cumana, of course my parents did not agree with my return, but in the end I returned.
Here in Cumana Sucre Venezuela was the UNA or National Open University, an institution whose modality was distance learning. I lasted two years there, but it was not my thing either and it was in 1992 when I decided to go to the city of Maturin, Monagas state, Venezuela, to study computer science at the IUTIN, Instituto Universitario de Tecnolog铆a Isaac Newton (Isaac Newton University Institute of Technology). My parents had given me a kind of ultimatum, that if I did not last there, then I did not know what I wanted and I would have to work, something was happening then. The truth is that I started my TSU career in Computer Science, I advanced, of course I had my moments of decadence, but I also had those moments of madness and student fun. In the end I finished all my subjects and I had to present my thesis.
Mis padres me hab铆an dado como una especie de ultim谩tum, que si no duraba all铆, entonces no sab铆a lo que quer铆a y me tocar铆a trabajar pues, algo estaba pasando entonces.
The day of the thesis presentation was a very nervous day, because; first, it was my turn to present at 4:30 pm, my aunt gave me something to calm my nerves and I fell asleep and almost lost the hour of the presentation. As I could I got ready and went to the university, I arrived on time; second, they gave us 45 minutes to present and in my nerves it took me only 15 minutes to present my thesis, what madness. Third, came the moment of the bombardment by the jury, I defending my position practically argued loudly with the jury and the tutor opened her eyes as if to say, Omar put it down, I had no choice but to calm down, I left the room because the jury had to deliberate and I think it was as punishment, because they took two hours deliberating; I only thought that they were going to postpone me because they had already done it with several friends, but in the end I passed and my soul went into my body.
I had already graduated but the graduation ceremony was the following year in 1997. As I already had a job in Cuman谩 I had to return very quickly, leaving behind all my friends and all those experiences I had lived, I was really nostalgic, but my life had to move forward and it was another level, I was starting my work activity. The year 1997 arrived and I was excited because I would return to Maturin and all those memories and experiences came back to me. It was the graduation ceremony, my degree for which I had fought so hard and received so many blows to obtain it. For that moment my mother accompanied me; my father could not attend, they were two days of total emotion; one for the mass in the Cathedral of Maturin and then it would be the signing of the act in the IUTIN, so it happened accompanied by my great friends who after the event had organized a tremendous celebration.
After the celebration, the day of the graduation ceremony arrived; this took place at the Legislative Palace of Maturin, where the medals were to be awarded and the longed-for degrees were to be presented. For this moment I was logically accompanied by my mother, a cousin and an aunt who lived in the city and in my cousin's house I lived during my studies. As usual before entering we took some pictures, and then I took my place of honor, hahahahahaha. There were many graduates and the excitement could not fit in my chest, just waiting for them to call my name to achieve the goal for good. Well, they called my name and I almost had a mishap; it turns out that my gown was too long and when I was going up the stairs I stepped on it and almost turned around, as I could I recovered my balance and what I did was to laugh, I arrived at the presidium dead with laughter.
The professor told me what do you have boy, I said nothing professor, put my medal and give me my title, they put my medal, they gave me the title and I went down the stairs very carefully hahahaha, I sat down and I was a sea of nerves, can you imagine if I had rolled around the place, hahahaha. Well, at the end I took some pictures with a very dear teacher who supported us a lot to move forward; other relatives arrived, we celebrated, we went to eat, but then we would have our graduation party, which would be like a final farewell to all those people who were present in my life throughout the student stage, great friends, great people who I will always remember. I had to return to Cuman谩 to continue my work day and continue making positive changes in my life.
Deb铆a regresar a Cuman谩 a continuar mi jornada laboral y continuar dando cambios positivos en mi vida.
Back in Cuman谩, in 2004 my father got me some night hours through the Ministry of Education to teach computer classes, logically it would not be as a graduate since my degree was not in the area of education, so I would have to start studying again. By the year 2009, since I had already passed several semesters at UNA and since in a way I was prepared for the distance mode, in my case it was mandatory because I worked morning, afternoon and night, besides I was already married and had a family with two small children who were very sick, when one was not sick, the other was sick, or both at the same time. At that time my wife was also in bad health and had been operated several times, even I was operated on my tonsils and that was fatal. The truth is that with a lot of effort and dedication I began my studies in education.
I entered the university and I was in a good position because they made me equivalence of many subjects that I had passed. By the year 2012 I finished my studies passing all the subjects, but here there was another hurdle because I had to submit all the forms of change of career, enrollment, introductory course, imagine that I started at that university in 1990 and all those documents were lost; well, I had to look for everything in the archives of the university and thank God I found the documents, but that was an ordeal, looking for those papers since the year 90. Again the graduation ceremony would be a year later in 2013; in Cumana would be the imposition of medals, signing of the minutes and months later the delivery of titles in the city of Caracas in a temple called the Mosque.
It was a very emotional and sensational day, it was my second title won with a lot of effort, sacrifice and perseverance. This time I was accompanied by my dad, mom and my daughter Nancy; my wife and my son Miguel could not attend because he was sick and that prevented the attendance of both, a very sad moment for me, but I had to receive the title. When they called me to go up to the presidium, the story of Maturin was repeated, I stepped on the toga again and here if there was a lot of light, if I fell it was my death hahahahahaha. But again I managed and I did not fall, to go down I had to climb the toga hahahahaha. I remember the crying of my daughter for having obtained this achievement and that moved me a lot, because she knew how much I had fought for this and for so many obstacles that I had overcome. Well friends, this was my #tbt I hope you enjoy it and all this led me to be more constant, perseverant and learn that no matter the size of obstacles, we must be bigger than them and overcome them, a hug to all and you are loved.
