Never had I ever been so anxious. The pressure was welling up so within me that I could hear my own heart beat from the veins on my head. This wasn't the plan. No, this was not what I imagined. I shouldn't be here... How'd I slow down, and when? Slowly, it consumed me. Worry.
How do I breathe? As much as I thought I prided myself on being a pretty chill guy, this sunk it hard. This feeling of—hmm, what's it called again?—uncertainty, yes. So I fled. I thought I needed fresh air and a change of scenery. And it worked, until it didn't.
Somehow, someway, I found the answer. It was right there all along. Seemly simple words yet evergreen, enough for all situations. "...instead, pray about everything."
But of course! How could I take my shoe to a carpenter to fix?
And like a breeze from nowhere on a hot afternoon, calm and tranquility reigned. A gentle sigh, a peaceful mind. For, really, worry is never the antidote yet, however, a poison.
