Human life is described in Scripture as temporary and fragile. People die because life on earth is not meant to be permanent; it is a journey that eventually leads to eternity. The Bible reminds us that our days are limited and known by God, encouraging humility and dependence on Him. Death, in this sense, is part of the human condition in a fallen world.
At the same time, the Bible shows that death is not the end of existence. While the body returns to dust, the soul continues, and each person will face God. Death becomes a passage from earthly life into eternal reality, where there is either separation from God or eternal life with Him. This gives death a serious spiritual meaning beyond physical loss.
