Depression is something we shouldn't overlook in children, we should go close to them and comfort them. The Bible teaches believers to bear one another's burdens, encourage the discouraged, and show love to those who are hurting. Instead of ignoring or criticizing a struggling teen, parents, friends, and church members should listen with care, offer support, and remind them that God values their lives and is always ready to strengthen those who seek Him.
The bible teaches us to always go close to God as young people who are growing up, we should always put our hope in God that He will solve all our problems. While trusting God is essential, seeking help from parents, trusted mentors, or qualified mental health professionals is also a wise step when depression becomes overwhelming. God can work through caring people and proper support to bring healing, comfort, and renewed hope.
