It is the first day of spring today even if it does not look like spring. My friend and I decided to go to our local church in the late morning. The weather was very windy which was nothing unusual in our area located near the Baltic sea. It was also snowing when we started our walk - not the best for taking pictures, but to the moment when we reached the church, the wind lessened.
You can see how beautiful the area around the church is, even when it is cold like today. It is located at the bank of the river and the yard is kept neat and designed with love and care.

The church is surrounded with houses, and the school where we both used to work was very close to it. I say "was" because it was destroyed nearly three years ago, and there is a new school complex on its place now. We made our route to see the new school building.
Here it is.
It is a week off for school because of the holidays, but teachers are busy people and they have to work even if schoolchildren are relaxing at home. As a proof of it, we met one of our colleagues rushing to school and carrying some equipment in her hands, full hands!
Then, our way was past the Town Hall and the Culture center.
There is a small square with the view of the seaside boulevard from above.
From there, we could walk along the main street of our town or through the park. No doubt that the park was our choice.
The poster in the park tells about its inhabitants and the rules how to feed them properly so as not to harm.
It was nearly the end of our pleasant walk, the winter walk on the first day of spring. It was nice to remember that spring begins today, even if it still looks like winter 馃檭.
