How can you be ordinary
When you have the breath of God inside you
How can you be secondary
When Christ died for you
He daily makes intercession for you
And you have so many promises yet unclaimed
You have heights so high yet unattained
You have His love always to keep you sustained
Open up your heart and have His love retained
Because by His grace He freely gave and it can never be obtained
There is more to you than meets the eyes
You are treated only to the extent you allowed
You are nothing short of a royalty
All He expects from you in this world is your loyalty
Don’t look back on the world’s ills and turn salty (Lot’s wife)
Stand in the place He kept you and be tasty
Better days are not just ahead but nearby
Be under His watch and on standby
You are not ordinary
Because you have the breath of God inside you
You are not secondary
When Christ died for you
You have always been His first choice
He had you in mind when He died two thousand years ago
On the cross of Calvary not on the tree of mango
His love for you kept Him on the cross not the nails
He could have summoned the angels to fight without fails
He could smile, look to heavens and call on the brimstones and hails
Or gather the clouds and command the metals of the rails
He didn’t run away and have in between his legs his tails
He stayed and left all behind amidst family wails
That can never be all for nothing
You are not ordinary

When the world tells you who you are not
Tell the world who you are
The righteousness of God in Christ; Jesus
