Title: Tree barks and stumps
The delicate interior structure of the tree is primarily shielded by the bark. In some trees, the distinction between the tree's bark and internal structure is not always obvious. Barks on different trees vary. Scars that might develop for a variety of reasons are easy to see on the exterior of the tree. They are most frequently brought on by human activity, like pruning branches.
By counting the tree rings on the stumps, it is possible to determine the age of the tree. Unfortunately, in order to do this, the tree must be cut down.
Although this is not a completely correct method, it is still often used when determining the age of a tree.
