Explosions begin earlier in the morning, and they are heard more and more strongly. It becomes very scary, and there is not always enough time to run to the shelter. Therefore, we decided to dedicate a day to equipping the living unit in the corridor according to the "two walls" principle. It is believed that when a rocket or its fragments hits a house, there is a much better chance of surviving if you are protected by not one, but two walls. In any apartment, like ours, this place is most often a corridor.
In addition, we decided to replenish the stocks of water, food and household goods, given that from 20:00 on March 15, a curfew begins in Kyiv, which will last 35 hours. You can only go outside if you go to the shelter. We decided to go to the home stuff store to buy duct tape (to seal the windows - it protects a little from a minor shock wave), an air mattress (to sleep in the corridor) and important household goods.
Then we went to the supermarket, bought the necessary food and water. What I worry about the most is the lack of drinking water. Since we need to prepare for everything, we have secured a fairly good supply of water. Hard time, hard shopping.
The day turned out to be quite intense, considering that the last almost 3 weeks were quite monotonous. I managed to distract myself from the flow of news (both cheering and tragic) by sealing the windows with the duct tape and cleaning the corridor. We will spend the night here tonight. It remains only to add a few blankets.
