This week, I hit a small but meaningful milestone: my Hive Power (HP) crossed 3.0 HP! 🎉 It might not seem like much to the whales, but for a student like me, it represents real progress.

As I watched my HP grow from 2.994 to 3.051 HP, I paid close attention to how it was happening. I wanted to move from just knowing what HP is to understanding how to make it work for me. Here are my key takeaways:

1.HP Isn't Magic – It's a Reward for Engagement.

I used to think HP just... grew. But this week, I saw the direct connection between my activity and that +0.5% increase. My HP grew when I was:

  • Writing thoughtful comments on other people's posts.
  • Posting my own content and getting engagement.
  • Consistently upvoting content I genuinely found valuable.

The lesson? HP is the ecosystem's way of paying you for being a valuable community member. It’s not a passive investment; it’s an active one.

2.Small, Consistent Actions > One Big Action.

I didn't make one viral post. Instead, I focused on small, daily habits:

  • Spending 15 minutes each day reading and engaging.
  • Upvoting 5-10 posts in the "New" section to find gems early.
  • Replying to every comment on my own posts.

This consistent drip of activity was the engine for my HP growth. It’s like compound interest for your reputation.

  1. My HP is My Foundation. My Trades are the Experiments.

As I explore short-term trading, I now see my HP as my rock-
solid financial base. It’s the part of my portfolio that:

  • Always grows when I'm active.
  • Can't be panic-sold (thanks to the 13-week unstaking period!).
  • Earns me more influence and rewards over time.

While I might take risks with a small part of my capital in trades, my HP is the long-term, low-risk engine that keeps building, no matter what the market does.

My Goal for Next Week:

I'm aiming for 3.2 HP. My plan is to be even more strategic with my upvotes and write one high-quality post about market analysis.

Discussion Time:

  • What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learned about HP?
  • What’s your favorite way to grow your HP?
  • Do you have a weekly HP growth goal?

Let's learn and grow our stakes together! The journey is always better with a community.
