I welcome you to my blog. This is indeed an interesting prompt; many people really need to assess their job to see if that job will really stand the test of time. The truth is that not all jobs can stand the test of time; if we look around us, we will see that a lot of jobs that used to exist no longer exist and are now a thing of the past. Jobs like being a librarian are now considered obsolete because nobody uses the library anymore; a lot of libraries are now left unattended to and no one even visits them, forcing the librarians to go for other jobs, as they have mouths to feed.
Another job that is obsolete is the postman job. Growing up, we used to see them go door to door to deliver letters or deliver them at a particular location, and the owners go there to pick up their letters, but today not even a single person works as a postman around here, as no one posts or receives letters anymore, so over time many jobs become obsolete as technology continues to evolve. Even more jobs we thought would stand the test of time will no longer exist, while there are jobs that will evolve alongside technology. These jobs will adjust and make sure that they fit into whatever technology brings them up or those at them.
One of those jobs is the teaching job, which is what I am currently engaged in. There will always be people (both adults and children) who are willing to learn and need a tutor; even in the next ten years, this will not change. Even during the coronavirus pandemic, one of the few professions that were still functional was teaching jobs; many tutors decided to start teaching and imparting knowledge online. They created a YouTube channel, and many of their students followed, and they were not put on hold or pause like many other professions.
So the teaching job is one of those jobs that will adjust and will always find a way to fit in, no matter what technology or the world throws at it. Even if in the future we have robots doing the teaching, I think it is still teaching just done by robots and not humans, but it will still be called teaching and not given a new name; there will always be evolution, and the teaching job will evolve with it.
