I've never really been much of a Christmas person. Christmas when I was small was a mixed bag and these days I'd rather have breakfast in bed with a good show than go through the fuss of it all, but I have Christmas responsibilities.

Wonderful and blessed beginning of the week, I am glad to be with you again, this time I share with you a recipe for chickpeas stewed with vegetables; as we know chickpeas are rich in carbohydrates, fiber, protein, vitamins and minerals and in combination with vegetables makes them even more a very nutritious and healthy dish, here I show you the step by step of this delicious, easy and simple recipe.

A long time ago I saw it impossible to talk about this topic, to define myself as someone like that is far from me, reality, because I did not consider myself a positive person, even when that was in me, but my darkness made me blind to the great virtues and qualities that many of us possess, but that we refuse to see them because we are more attracted to the brightness of the other.

My latest visit to the slum where I used to live was harder than I thought, but once I settled down and began my meditation to integrate the experience, I identified the needless drama I was in thanks in part to my sister's coughing fit. Since I was feeling so down, her action increased my anxiety for a while, so the first thing I did with the meditation was having a heart-to-heart talk with her (something that I encourage you do to with anyone with whom you may have trouble communicating.) I apologized for any indiscretions and transgressions I might have committed recently or in the past, and also forgave her for those she's committed against me, pleading for her to allow a gentler communication between us so we can work together for the good of the family. Then I reviewed the whole process of the day and understood how I absorbed the environmental energy and emotions of that place, which diminished my self-trust.

It is amazing how many emotions and feelings we human beings can harbor. I have always thought that people who have the heart of a human are those who enjoy life to the fullest because they don't keep any nice feelings to themselves. They don't even think about the possibility of doing so. The true essence of a human being is not only to feel joy, love, peace, but also to transmit it. It is a reciprocal act, we receive beautiful things in life and we feel alive, full, but we are also in charge of giving all the beautiful things that in a moment overwhelm our being.

Hey guys, it’s been a while I shared a daily blog and that’s because there hasn’t been anything I consider interesting to share. It’s also been because I’ve been busy working on getting a hostel to relocate to at my place of service. I talked about how stressful processing my National Service posting was, and now there’s a new struggle with finding a hostel. I’m currently staying at a friend’s hostel as I search for one for myself.

This month began very well for us as a family, so today I share with you an event that contains much of the values and practices of Christmas, as it united us to support our little Isabella in her closing project of the Olu dance academy. Here I show you the experience.

I hope you all had a great week. This week in particular was a little lighter than usual for me. My students had exams so I had a little time “out of the classroom”. I had several errands to run. If not careful, at such times, I can end up being even busier than usual. Going into the weekend however, I enjoyed a lovely bowl of ramen and my Saturday afternoon lit up🔥🔥 when I received a package of Caribbean goodies. Believe me when I say I didn’t hesitate to pop the box open and get started. Stay with me as I tell you more and share visuals of the delights.

Getting them used to being back inside in the dry atmosphere can sometimes be a challenge. I have learned over the years that my plants really enjoy morning mistings to keep them happy during the winter. They really did do fantastic outside throughout the summer months either hanging from the porch beams or sitting on little tables on the porch.

Decoraciones Navideñas | Nuestras primeras navidades en el hogar [ESP / ENG]
Hello friends of Hive, I stopped by to tell you that yesterday I was lazy on Sunday with the chores at home, but I took the opportunity to give free rein to my imagination to set up Christmas decorations, because I am one of those people who enjoy the process of creating decorations and it is part of my particular tradition to start in October to buy the materials and look for ideas all over the internet to spend the next two months doing the respective crafts, so Christmas ends up lasting almost three months in my home.
