OCD's support is expanding!

Hello everyone! This is the 1477th compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.

How this Works

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

Speaking of boost, here are the curated posts for this batch:

[EN / ES] Star Trek: Enterprise - The First Journey // Star Trek: Enterprise - El primer viaje

The world has been in a state of chaos for decades. Sometimes it is nice that our imagination can escape from our reality. I really like history, geopolitics and also science. So I found in science fiction my favorite genre, as I already talked here a few years ago.

Today I come to talk about Star Trek, more precisely about the Enterprise saga, the first voyage of mankind with WARP engines. Long before the existence of the federation, when there were still no defined protocols for interaction with other cultures and where diplomacy was done on the fly due to the lack of experience in contact with other species.

Let's enjoy fresh Milo chocolate ice

After I washed clothes and cleaned some household equipment on this hot afternoon, I felt very tired and in a bit of a bad mood, so I thought about making a cup of cold chocolate drink to enjoy and make me in a good mood again.

Como deseo mejorar mi Bienestar [ESP/ ENG]

When I read this initiative, I thought about what I do to maintain my mental and physical well-being, and I will be honest, lately I have not done much, I have thought about doing certain things, but the listlessness, discouragement and apathy, wins me, and I spend the day without doing much.

Para un pequeño príncipe

I have been making decorative elements for children's rooms for many years and unbelievably no client had ever asked for something related to "The Little Prince". I have done several things, but on my own initiative.

This time I was surprised by the mother of a little boy named Marcelo, only 4 years old, who loves the book. He wanted his initial decorated with this motif.

SAMGYEOPSAL DAY: Satisfied Tasty Temptations

There are days when we are tempted to eat something, and maybe sometimes we don't get to satisfy our cravings due to various reasons, like no budget for it or a you are having a very busy week. But whenever I crave for Korean Samgyeopsal, I always make sure to spare some money and time for it. I just can't set aside my tasty temptations to grilled pork with some side dishes, dipped into sauce and cheese.

¿Papá, de dónde sale la arena de las playas? [ESP-ENG]

I live in a coastal municipality of Havana, and in the summer months we often go to the beach. I remember once we were making sand figures, and my son threw to the air the question that gives title to this post.

At that moment I answered him: the sand in your castle is created naturally by the deposit of sediments, and manually when man extracts it from an area at the bottom of the sea and deposits it on the shore.

Discovering the Trasona reservoir and enjoying the good cuisine of Asturias

After a week traveling from one side to another of the north of Spain for work reasons and with a lot of work accumulated from the vacation days I had at Christmas, my body and my mind, yesterday asked me to slow down a little and seek for my health a little relaxation.

For a long time, every time I pass near the city of Aviles on the highway, I see from the top of a viaduct a large water reservoir with all green in its surroundings. It is the Trasona reservoir.

House Blessing, finally!

I am fond of reminding myself of the things I am grateful for every day. Before I kicked in with all the plans I have in 2024, I once looked back in 2023 with a smile on my face, reminiscing the things that I am truly blessed about. So here's one of the many things that made last year a worthwhile one.

One of the things I held as one of the most memorable occasions in my 2023 is my HOUSE BLESSING. Yes, finally! I moved in last April and just last December 27, the house blessing was pushed through.

Community: Wednesday Walk

The loneliest place I've ever seen: Yagua, a small town with few people (I'm not lying)... A Wednesday Walk

I was born in Caracas, capital of Venezuela. My parents, back in the early 90's, lived in that tumultuous, crazy, stressful and full of life city. I guess it was the repetition and chaos of such a city that made both my father and mother decide to buy a house. According to what they tell me, they had always lived in rented accommodation. They wanted a new beginning, in a calmer and quieter place. That is how they decided to move to the state of Carabobo, to Guacara; my host city and the place where I put down my roots as a child, teenager and woman...

Community: BEER

Week #3 with my Christmas present. Is the beer the best mate while preparing the ingredients for a tasty pizza?

I picked the third beer out of my christmas present and it turned out to be a Porter. A Porter, named Dark Season. Yes, the beer is dark, as you can expect out of a ported and yes… it is winter so I can say it is the dark(er) season. It starts to ged dark outside at about 4:30-5:00 PM and by 5:30 it is already night! This is not a problem for a homemade pizza. It is always delicious.
