OCD's support is expanding!

Hello everyone! This is the 1444th compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

I had been wanting to see my family for a long time, since it is not the same to talk on the phone than in person. So, while I was in class my coordinator told me that they were not going to give classes for two days, plus the weekend that corresponds to me. So when I thought a little, I made the decision to travel, because I had more days to be there and I could get transportation to return more calmly.

Yesterday I went for a walk, I had been at home for many days and my body was already asking for some distraction so I took my Nikon D 7500 camera and two lenses one 50 mm and a 70-300 mm lens and went out to walk the streets of my city Ciego de Ávila in the center of the island of Cuba.

It is a pleasure to be here to share with you this post of my weekend which has been one of celebration and reflection. Before I tell you about this weekend I want to tell you first that I am a Venezuelan immigrant who has traveled through three countries looking for a place to settle down, I can say that living in a country different from yours can be a challenge, but you also have the opportunity to immerse yourself in new experiences. Today we are in Macaé Rio de Janeiro, I have 2 years, little by little I have been adapting to the culture and customs of this place, something that has not been easy because we have differences in the language, but the good thing is that I have Brazilian friends who tell me they want to learn from us and there is an exchange of information between the two countries. And you may wonder why he talks about so many things, why doesn't he just talk about this weekend? Well that is what I am going to tell you, this weekend has been a chapter that will be unforgettable in my life and in the life of my son, and this is because my son has more social life here in this place because he has made many friendships in his school, he is already a teenager who finished his 3rd year of high school, and well he had his farewell party very emotional with his friends last week where he told me that his best friends in tears swore to continue with their communication. Among all those friends there is a girl who became her best friend and confidant and they agreed to go out to enjoy all the events that would be held in this city to kick off Christmas.

But... it's been a few years since we decorated our house. The Christmas spirit went down the drain when the heavyweights of the family, the trunks from which the branches we are now were born, began to be missing. Now I'm more like this one:

A while back in my early days on Hive, I shared a process of recovering some gold from trash electronics. A hobby of mine that I enjoy doing when I get the chance. I enjoy the magical aspect of chemistry, and what feels like actual mining or scavenging for precious metals.

December, month where Christmas brings together families, friendships, memories of those loved ones who are in other countries or who have already departed to eternity. Time of the year, where I like to listen to my vinyl records, using my record player collection. Equipment that make us experience music with High Fidelity, to sweeten our senses, fly emotions and be grateful for another year of life.

I talked about analog photography in my previous post, and in the one before that, about the order I usually put before the end of the year, so combining those two things, I share today some images I took some years ago with an analog camera and that I found today while I was tidying up a part of my room.

These photos were the product of a university assignment, for the subject of Photojournalism. Using black and white roll film, we had to make portraits, of anything we wanted, and what occurred to me was to tell my mom to pose in her work environment, where she has her sewing machines.

One of the most problematic aspects of life at sea; is the scarcity of reliable internet. It's both a blessing and a curse. The digital detachment brings a sense of peace, an escape from the constant BLINK and BUZZ and ARE YOU THERE? notifications and the pace of the online world. Yet, this disconnection comes at a cost staying in touch with loved ones becomes a significant challenge. Also, the internet here is not just limited; it's so expensive! Every byte is precious, making every message sent and received all the more meaningful. That is why I used only Whatsapp in this time. No blogging...

Here is a recipe that is very tasty and healthy but is a little bit time-consuming to cook it is worth it once you are going to eat it. The dish is called Sauteed Mung Beans with Vermicelli. This dish is one of the most popular here in our town. This is also my favorite and my husband's favorite.

This dish only needs two main ingredients which are Mung Beans and Vermicelli. But I added some tomatoes (which can be omitted and the taste is still very tasty. The taste of this dish can also be upgraded using chicken stock, beef stock, or pork stock. If the stocks are not available you can use chicken cubes, pork cubes, and beef cubes. Aside from the cubes, you can add real chicken, real pork, and real beef.
