Community Garden Update: Re-planting New Seeds and Seedlings with the Kids
We asked one of our neighbors to do the massive weeding and also get rid of some of the overgrown okra plants. We just left a couple plants because I'm planning to get some of their seeds once the vegetables dry naturally.Since we've gotten rid of most of the weeds and overgrown plants, it's time to plant new ones and two of the older kids in our community volunteered to do so. Mama and I guided them on what to do.

There was a knot of hair at the back of my younger sister’s head. We were headed to the tailor for a gown repair and I couldn’t let her look so beautiful in a black sequined dress with nested hair spun like a deceased spider. So I combed it out with my fingers and when she noticed what I was doing, stopped walking. As I untangle the knots one by one, I remembered meeting my sister when she was a little crescent moon-eyed kid, her hair undone and blouse untucked from her skirt, strands of hair pasted in squiggly lines on her face, playing at our school playground. I would catch her running embrace and brush her hair neatly in a ponytail and iron out her blouse into the skirt.

Being unemployed gives me the time to do the things that I couldn't do when I was working from Mondays to Fridays. One of those things is going on spontaneous weekday hikes. It's such a joy to explore the great outdoors on a Wednesday, away from the crowded trails and weekend rush.On Monday, my hiking friend James messaged me and invited me on a hike. At first, I hesitated because I knew they were planning to hike the 6 Towers Trail to Manggapar. I'm not really fond of this trail when ascending since it's steep, and I won't lie, I'm getting older and my knees can't handle it anymore. HAHA

Hello friends, I invite you to take a walk with me this Wednesday to one of the most beautiful places in the world, located in Pinar del Rio, Cuba. I do not want to sin of chauvinism but really the unique landscape that is presented to our eyes makes us affirm that Viñales is exclusive. Besides, it is not just me saying it, UNESCO has catalogued it as a Cultural Landscape of Humanity, for its natural beauty and for the interaction of man with the environment in his constructive practices and cultivation of the land without affecting its composition. This week, taking advantage of our vacation in the area, I invited my son and several friends to walk through the viewpoint of the Hotel Los Jazmines, although I knew the place, I was pleasantly impressed with the beautiful view.

I live in the central-northern region of Venezuela (in a town called Montalbán) and here the climate is tropical with two very marked seasons, one of rain and the other of drought. So it is something typical here to have gardens and this is something almost "religious" in my family, because many times the conversations in the evenings revolve around the plants in the garden and of course "their flowers"...

Sahastradhara means a water stream consisting of thousands of springs. People come here to see Sahastradhara, take bath here and visit the temple located here. So the thing is that here water keeps dripping from thousands of water streams for twenty-four hours and it is believed that by taking a bath in this water and drinking it, the treatment of extreme diseases and different types of stomach diseases can be done automatically. Travelers from most of the states of India come here and take bath in Sahastradhara.

Hello dear community, once again I am here, bringing you a recipe that is very easy to make, delicious and with few ingredients. If there is something that I have missed since I went to Venezuela, it is the grill, however I have not yet achieved a place where I can feel that flavor that transports me when we made a grill in my house, it is for that reason, that when I have grill cracks, I decide to do it myself, in this case, I did not have as many ingredients as I use, however, I could not miss the moment of eating something delicious, I And now, let's go with the ingredients and preparation!
