OCD's support is expanding!

Hello everyone! This is the 1200th compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its Community Incubation Program. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive.

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

Speaking of boost, here are the curated posts for this batch:

There were nice tables with chairs neatly set out where people got served coffee. Some people preferred taking their coffee along on their walk or sitting down on one of the benches close by to sit in peace while enjoying the view over the ocean.

I didn't want to intrude on people's privacy by taking photos of them while they were enjoying their coffee, looking out over the ocean, and having a peaceful moment while the day was coming to an end. It was a beautiful view looking out over the ocean to the east, with the sun setting behind you in the west.

I had plans for my weekend. My friend had invited me to go to the beach with him. If I’m being honest, it’s also been a long time since I stepped into the beach either. I’m not such a fan of beaches but it definitely held more appeal to me than spending yet another weekend, after multiple weekends of staying at home.

I thought of the pictures I’d take, the people I would see. I even said to myself that it would be an ideal time to do my infamous people-lyzing. Which is nothing too fancy. Basically me, sitting in a place, being my usual invisible self and trying to guess the life and the stories of everyone I saw. It’s an interesting hobby. And no, I don’t stare blatantly as that could be rude and annoying for them. Just subtly and discreetly. And of course, I have my sunglasses to make myself even more concealed.

Now, if this fact is so normal, why is it that the belief was established that if we require something from someone it should be seen as a shameful act.

Besides, why should we be ashamed to ask for help if receiving is as important as giving One cannot exist without the other, and making use of only one of them would cause an imbalance because, somehow, the normal flow between giving and receiving is stagnated since the one who gives feels satisfaction at the possibility of collaborating with another while the one who receives feels gratitude, both feelings are linked to love.

Besides giving you a caress to your palate, it will give you a lot of energy and maybe something more 😉

Now that I got your attention let's get started hahaha, so let's get to work!

This is one of the oldest ones I remember, I don't know if my memory is failing haha but yes, although my grandfather was a being with a very good sense of humor, one of his most used phrases and in fact adopted by my mom and therefore my brother, cousins and me, is the typical ¿Vino o lo mandaron? and mostly used to refer to someone who is being inopportune, a clear example when they are ruining a surprise.

Going for a workout today isn't how I envisioned my weekend at all. My weekends are mostly always about thorough clean ups in the house - washing the clothes I had worn during the week, mopping the house, restocking groceries and cooking. Usually, my department holds a class every Saturday from 8-10am but when I woke up to the voice of my friend calling a neighbour so they could go for a workout, "why not join them?" I thought to myself. That's how I threw on whatever I thought was comfortable for an exercise. I don't even have proper footwear for sports so I just made do with what I had - my socks and Nike Slides.

It was one fine afternoon when my colleagues decided to drop by to this one of the must-visit spots here in the Northern part of Cebu, The Sea Turtle Lagoon Resort which is located in Tabogon. We have the chance to be here because we were the examiners during the National Achievement Test held in one of the schools in Tabogon. It's good that one of our co-examiners has his car so it's possible for us to get there.

Hello mommy, daddies, of this beehive, Happy Father's Day, which has already passed but it is not just one day, it should always be, because just like mothers, it should be every day, for those who still enjoy having them.

And also for those mothers that although we do not have testicles but we have been excellent parents is what many say at least in Venezuela to those warrior women who have been left alone without their partners but with their children, taking them forward with much love, dedication and courage.

How are my dear friends of Hive, happy Friday for everyone. I return to share in this community a nice craft, besides being very easy to do, it takes few materials and the result is very good, plus it can get us out of a hurry in some gifts we want to give. This is an interactive birthday card 🎂 containing a cake that becomes 3D when you open the card, it seems to me a very nice and practical idea to share with a loved one.

Right from the start I found myself at ease in Portugal also because, as far as communication is concerned, I had fewer problems than in English-speaking countries; in those days, as much as I struggled with English, it was much more difficult than today. Portuguese, on the other hand, came to me immediately simple.

I confess that I spent the first three days in Porto practically in silence, but slowly I began to gain confidence in the language and in the end I was able to communicate quite easily; I am convinced that if I had stayed there for a couple of months I would have learned to speak Portuguese easily.
