We now have the winners!

A special thanks to friendlymoose@friendlymoose and acidyo@acidyo for their support in facilitating this contest. It's been amazing to see the growth of Cycling since they joined the incubation program over three months now. We hope that the community will continue to thrive, even after the contest is over. Before the winners are announced, let's take a moment to see the changes in DIYHub's subscriber and engagement numbers.

The purpose of the screenshots is to see how the community is doing before the contest and then after the contest. The most notable change in Cycling is the increase in the number of interaction from 73 to 388. We can also see the significant change in active users from 19 to 101 users. The contest have also helped the increase in active users from 178 to 225 subscriber. From the changes, we can conclude that the contest has had a positive impact on the community with increased activity, visibility and engagement.

Another notable metric is the number of blogs posted in the community within the contest period. For that, the reference would be the comment section of the contest post. Please refer to the link below:

There are about 19 entries and posts created within that period of the contest. It's quite an increase from out previous community contest and hopefully many more hivers will discover Cycling community!

From the first post, the prize pool generated received 106.563 HIVE. The picture below is the transfer made to Cycling community account.

A ride with my old bicycle that never fails

Touring places by bicycle is something I really like to do, today because of the contest present in the community I decided to make a route in the morning hours to show part of the route to all of you. Honestly I did not know this community, but thanks to this contest sponsored by the OCD team that gives visibility I could notice it, so I will take this opportunity to be part of you, it will be like my presentation post.Initially I went out to a monument of my city called the Obelisk, I did it taking a longer and less direct way from where I live to appreciate other important places, I like to leave in the morning hours although today I did it a little late and the early traffic is heavy because many people are going to their jobs and to do their particular errands, so I had to be a little more careful when moving forward.

Second Place: itravelrox@itravelrox

Cycling Memories While Traveling in Malaysia, Taiwan, Myanmar, and Cambodia

For how many times I've been searching for a photo of my pink bike, and finally, I found it on Facebook. The name is Marimar as what was written behind the bike seat. This bike is very cute. Many people looked at me when I was driving. The name Marimar suits with the pink color. Right now, my cousin has the bike as she needs to bring her son to school. I acquired this bike sometime in 2010 or 2011 at SM City Cebu for PHP 3,500 or less than $100. Yep, let's say about $70.

Third Place: cool08@cool08

Journey To My Cycling World

I still remember vividly when I started cycling. I was 5 years old and was not afraid, even though so many of my mates were afraid of cycling. Anytime my mum drop her bicycle, I would sneak outside and sensibly take her bicycle out for a ride. My friends and I had to go for a ride just for fun.Riding a bicycle has been for fun but nothing else except for exercise. This was our thinking, as we were timid in thought. We do have a competition among ourselves just to keep us happy. It was for our immediate happiness and nothing more. I was not allowed to go out, but cycling would not pass me by. I would try as much as I can to ride to my satisfaction. Likewise, I would cycle until sweat would be seen draining out of my body and even that, I would not stop.

Fourth Place: tatdt@tatdt

Cycling in the autumn park

I live in the historic part of the city, and it's not the most convenient place for cycling. On the outskirts of the city, in new neighbourhoods, cycling infrastructure has been developing quite actively in recent years. There are many convenient bicycle lanes, which are a pleasure to ride on. But in the city centre, a cyclist has to compete for a piece of asphalt with motorists, scooters and pedestrians at the same time; you can't just pedal and look on the sides - you have to be ready to react every second to a changed traffic situation.

Fifth Place: astrolabio@astrolabio

Cycle Paths / Ciclovias

I think in my case I'm a bit of a hybrid, since I use it for both purposes, although so far I have limited myself to a range that does not exceed 10 km around, while I regain confidence and attitude to deal with the crazed traffic in this city.

Congratulations to all the winners!
