Apologies for the delay! we now have the winners! Special thanks to

@acidyo for the support in facilitating this contest. It's awesome to see how the Homesteading Community have grown since its inclusion in the incubation program more than a week ago.

Before the announcement of winners, let's have a look first at how the Homesteading has changed in terms of subscribers and engagements.

The purpose of the screenshots is to see how the community is doing before the contest and then after the contest. The most notable change in Homesteading is the increase in the number of interaction from 115 to 460. Another is the increase in active users from 47 to 101 active users.

The contest have also helped the increase in subscriber from 255 to 322 subscribers. The contest definitely helped a little bit in this case. It's really not bad for first the contest of this community! For the weekly interactions.

Another notable metric is the number of blogs posted in the community within the contest period. For that, the reference would be the comment section of the contest post. Please refer to the link below:

That's 15 posts created within that period of the contest. While it's not as many as the previous contests, it's not bad for Homestead community! The prize pool is shown below:

That means the winners will receive:

1st Place: 35% of the rewards of the contest post = 49.403 Hive

2nd Place: 25% of the rewards of the contest post = 35.289 Hive

3rd Place: 20% of the rewards of the contest post = 28.230 Hive

Homesteading Passion From Forefathers

Guys first let me tell you about me a little bit. My family lives in a village. It is almost many years back when we were living in the village. My father was a farmer and all my uncles were as well. And at that time my father bought some animals such as buffaloes, cows and goats. We brought them up at our house. In my house there was a free portion so we set that portion special for the animals. And we were taking care of them.

Homesteading ; My Family tradition

I come from a family of homesteaders, infact the homesteading lifestyle is a lifestyle of my village people. Not until my parents migrated to the big urban city, they were homesteaders themselves. They were trained through with and through the proceeds of subsistent agriculture . They planted the foods they ate, the reared the animals whose meat they ate and even built and mended the house they lived in, all by themselves.

When I first saw the contest announcement on discord, I didn't have any idea what I was going to write about. But I wanted to try the homesteading community because I have a feeling there will be a lot of things to learn.

Talking about homesteading, with my little knowledge, I would say homesteading is the lifestyle of self sufficiency. My homesteading experience is on subsistence agriculture, I farm basically to feed myself and my family no commercial purpose for now.

My little Garden...

I was very happy when I seen the space for garden and we decided to grow our garden their. It already has some flower plants but I as interested in growing some vegetable plants also. I am not expert in farming So decided to take some help for expert. He helps us to prepare the piece of land and arranged the seeds. The plants grown very well now.
