Today's #worldbuilding and #mapmaking challenge for the #JunesJourney2020 was to create a canyon in the badlands. On a related note, today I found out how god awful I am at drawing canyons! Definitely going to have to practice this some more, as I'm not satisfied with this draft. I'll attempt to make it better here before I move from pencil to inks.
The canyon itself is locally known as the Deepest Crevice Canyon (name lovingly supplied by my wife, lmfao). It's stretches through the badlands south of Ebonhold, bridging the land between the badlands and the desert.
The canyon is home to several separate clans of Kobolds, who generally are content to make trouble for each-other, though they will gladly band together to harass any other species that infringes on their territory. Many unaware explorers have returned to their homes having been mugged for any "useful" goods that the kobolds found on them.
