I have had severe anxiety and depression since I had an event that happened to me as a teenager (PTSD as well). This lead to almost bed-ridden levels of burnout and that feeling of dopamine depletion. Nothing had helped at all. I tried therapy, 100s of hours of intense meditation retreats (which works wonders while you are doing it, and there is a residual effect as well), medications, exercise and just about anything I could try.

I even went through an entire ketamine treatment as well as TMS. Everything helped in its own way, but only one thing made a massive change. I started going down a science route and ended up learning about some of the things that chronic anxiety/depression and especially burnout do to your body. All of these things deplete a critical antioxidant called glutathione.

A lot of people got on the glutathione bandwagon a while back and started taking it as a supplement and even intravenously. The problem is that this just cycles it through your blood and it doesn't really get into your cells and your brain. And to make matters worse, when you take it as a supplement it gets destroyed by your stomach. There is also liposomal glutathione, but that is not well tested and can potentially get into places it is not supposed to be.

So, that was sort of a long winded way to say that you should try taking NAC (N-Acetyl Cystine) and Glycine. Basically, this allows your liver to replenish your glutathione stores that get massively depleted by anxiety/stress/burnout. It has absolutely changed my life when nothing else worked. It took me 30 years to solve this issue.

Check out Dr Brad Stanfield on YouTube. He is awesome! He is a medical doctor who is also a longevity enthusiast, and often talks about NAC and Glycine.

I personally take 2000 MG NAC and 3 grams of Glycine daily. It's worth a try if you are suffering like I was, especially since these amino acids won't harm you in any way.
