I knew he'd be a dark horse at the Australian Open but i didn't expect him to knock out Nadal and make it through to the final.
Looks like the next-gen tennis players are stepping up with 3 out of the 4 semi-finalists coming from the next generation instead of the usual big 3 of Federer, Nadal and Djokovic.
The odds for the finals aren't out yet but it'll be interesting to see how the bookies rate Thiem. He has a good record against Djokovic, winning 4 out of their 10 encounters. I mean, that's as good as a record as one can hope for.
If he starts at odds above 2.5, i'll be putting some on Thiem to win for sure.
