Life at times is not a bed of roses , especially if you lack backup. So you must hustle and do things to survive , especially as a man. No matter how much we pretend or behave, one thing is certain, we all need money to survive and pay our bills. Money is needed to pays our bills, puts food on our tables, support others helps us pursue and fulfill some of our dreams, and also gives us some level of comfort. But the things we do in search of money varies .
Sometimes, I look back and thank God for the journey so far, although I have not gotten there yet , but God has been faithful. I realise that most of the things i do to earn money are not always about passion although some are. Sometimes, they are about survival, responsibility, and the determination to keep moving forward.
I remember working as a receptionist in an hotel and I worked the minimum of 12 hours a day. It was so draining, at times night duty was damn stressful especially when you are on duty alone. The job affected me a whole lot, my sanity and social life were are stake. It limited my attendance to some events even church activities. I never enjoyed it, it wasn't my passion, I only did the job for survival. But when it got to my neck I had to quit for the sake of my mental health. One thing about the job is that, It was an experience that taught me a lot about human behaviour, patience, communication, and dealing with different kinds of people, and I learnt from there too.
I also embark on a community service one time some years back. The pay was not reasonable enough, but I had to survive so I did it. The job was draining, I will leave in the morning come back at night tired and stressed.
These are the few that I will mention for now, but in all this, we keep moving and doing my best to make it big.
