And unless one is born with silver spoons , or have generation wealth-linage set in place for him or her, you have no way of escaping the reality of life , especially when there is no one to give you that first foundation you might need to start building life on your own.
This certainly makes it obvious that life cones with struggle. So we need to hustle, endure with patience if we must survive because no one will be there to tell you the direction to take. Survival is something you must figure our yourself. “What a topic of discussion from HSCP”
Many of us must have been caught up in a situation where we did things that ordinary we are not supposed to do. Yes! We did this job or things just to earn money 💴 to survive the times. These are things we never see ourselves doing if things were good, but because of hard times, no one will ask you if you want to do it because certainly you do them not looking back.
As young children we have always believed our parents will always take care of us, but not knowing that tines can change. And it did change for me during my university days when I was in my 200 level. And not being the only child of my parents, my dad business had some huge shook which made him loose money. And this indeed affected my siblings and I . So then, in the bid to do something to support myself then, I started buying and selling in a small scale. I will go to the market over the weekend after the school week to buy shirts, blouses and undies. And during the week will try to maneuver my way out from the campus to go to some offices.
And as time goes on , I started having little customers buying from me. Initially, they were paying me cash as a student which boosted my moral because it was helping me pay some bills. But one mistake I made caused me lots of regret. I went to borrow money from one of my course mate friend to purchase lots of goods thinking the business will continue to boom so I can quickly pay her.
Reverse was the opposite because as time went by, those buying from me started owning me. Some will even extend payment till month end which made the money I borrowed to start diminishing. Because they will not pay on time, my profit will not come out quickly, making me to loose money. And at a long run, I was not able to pay my friend her money in bulk because it was not coming regularly. We ended up fighting and stayed away from others for months which I did not like . I also ended up carrying some of my subjects-over which became stressful in coming semesters.
It was one experience I will never want to experience again because its was one hard and tough times for me. Although, I was able to settle with my friend after sometime and even paid her up her balance as time went by. Right now, I see life as one that comes with different phases. We need to always be prepared.
