Yesterday started with a really early morning as we were flying out of China and going to Tokyo, our final destination. We got up early as we needed to get a taxi to airport. The hotel staff were helping us call a taxi, but because we didn't have the didi app, they didn't know how to call a taxi. It's amazing how dependent china is on apps, this is great for locals but presents a challenge for travellers. Anyway, eventually, they decided to just go to the street and hail one down as it was driving past, old school style. This time the taxi driver was much better and followed all the road rules. Once we got to the airport we were amazed at our impressive the structure of the airport is. It's very new too.
The airport is decorated and quite interesting to go around and have a look.
Also I don't think Wuhan is such a popular destination because there were only 4 international flights that day, but there are like 10 gates at the international airport
Perhaps they built the airport for future growth. You can see it's quite empty
Okay now we are flying yo Japan, and our first sign of being in the land of the rising sun was a glimpse of Mt Fuji poking through the sky.
Once we arrived we went to akihabara which is known as electric town where all the consumer electronics are sold, also the home of hobbies and maid cafes.
We did quite a bit of shopping and I couldn't help myself but take a picture of these starwars figurines.
Next and final stop was shinjuku. It was amazing to see the illumination lights
I don't often go to Japan in the winter so I haven't seen these lights for about 20 years, and they were very pretty.
After the illumination we went to the night district of Shinjuku. Where there were lots of people and lights.
Also saw Godzilla
After that we caught the train to.where we were staying for the night.
