Hello dear Holos & Lotus community,
Today I continue with The House Also Speaks, a series where everyday objects and quiet corners of the home become reflections of life, resilience, and the emotions we often do not put into words.

The plants that survive in the corner
There is a small corner in my home where light does not fully reach.
It is not the brightest place, nor the most beautiful one. It is simply a space that exists quietly, almost unnoticed, between walls and furniture. And yet, in that corner, something continues to live.
A plant.
Or rather, a small reminder that life does not always need perfect conditions to continue.
I did not always pay attention to it. At first, it was just another decorative plant placed where it fit. But over time, I began to notice it differently. Not because it changed suddenly, but because I started observing what it quietly endured.
It does not receive much light. The sun does not reach it directly. And still, it remains green.
Every so often, I find myself approaching it without thinking. I water it carefully, remove the dry leaves one by one, and sometimes try to find it a better place in the house. A place with more light. A place where it could perhaps grow more freely.
But somehow, it always ends up returning to the same corner.
Life has a way of placing things where they remain, even when we try to move them.
And still, it survives.
That simple fact has made me think more than once about what it means to endure.
Because survival is not always loud.
It is often quiet.
It is a daily decision repeated without applause.
A plant does not complain about the light it lacks. It does not explain its struggle. It simply continues growing in the direction it can.
And I think that is why it has become important to me.
Sometimes I look at it and I see more than a plant.
I see patience.
I see persistence.
I see life adapting instead of stopping.
And without realizing it, I also begin to see something else.
The invisible work that sustains a home.
The quiet effort that is rarely noticed.
The care that is given without expecting recognition.
There are people who live like that plant.
People who do not always have ideal conditions.
People who do not always receive enough light in their own lives.
And yet they continue.
They continue taking care of others.
They continue holding things together.
They continue making life possible for those around them, even when they themselves are tired.
It is not a dramatic strength.
It is a quiet one.
The kind that does not ask to be seen.
When I water that plant, I sometimes think I am not only caring for it.
I am also remembering something important.
That life does not always grow in perfect places.
Sometimes it grows in corners.
Sometimes it survives in small spaces where no one expects it to.
And still, it finds a way to remain alive.
There are days when I move it slightly, trying again to give it more light. But over time I have learned something simple: not everything needs to be moved to survive. Some things simply need to be cared for where they are.
Perhaps that is also true for people.
Perhaps not every life needs perfect conditions to be meaningful.
Perhaps what matters most is that someone notices, someone waters, someone cares.
And in that quiet care, something begins to change, even if slowly.
The plant in the corner has taught me something I did not expect to learn from something so small.
That resilience is not always about strength.
Sometimes it is just about continuing.
Continuing even when the light is not enough.
Continuing even when the place is not ideal.
Continuing because life, in its simplest form, insists on staying alive.
And every time I look at it, I understand a little more that what keeps it green is not only the environment around it.
It is also care.
Consistency.
And time.
Thank you for reading.

No recibe mucha luz. Y aun as铆, sigue verde.
Y aun as铆, sobrevive.
A veces la miro y veo m谩s que una planta.
Veo paciencia.
Veo persistencia.
Y sin darme cuenta, tambi茅n comienzo a ver otra cosa.
Y aun as铆 contin煤an.
Contin煤an cuidando de otros.
Contin煤an sosteniendo cosas.
Tambi茅n estoy recordando algo importante.
Quiz谩s no toda vida necesita condiciones perfectas para tener sentido.
