Hello Shadow Hunters community, once again I’m posting in this community and doing so to take part in the ShadowHunters SMASh Contest, round 440.
Sometimes the most interesting shadows appear when we are not even looking for them.
I was cleaning at home and removed the cushion from an armchair. While doing so, I noticed something I had never really paid attention to before: the arm of the armchair was projecting its own shadow onto the same piece of furniture.
The shape immediately caught my attention.
It was a simple shadow, created by an everyday object in my own home, but removing the cushion allowed me to discover a different image that had probably been there many times without me noticing it.
I liked the way the light outlined the arm of the chair and created a second, darker shape beside it.
It made me think that sometimes we only need to change the way we look at familiar things to discover something interesting.
So, instead of continuing with the cleaning, I stopped for a moment, took out my mobile phone, and captured the shadow.
And here it is, my little discovery, which I decided to share with you for this week's contest.

A veces las sombras más interesantes aparecen cuando ni siquiera estamos buscándolas.
Estaba limpiando en casa y retiré el cojín de una butaca. Mientras lo hacía, descubrí algo en lo que nunca había reparado realmente: el brazo de la butaca estaba proyectando su propia sombra sobre la misma butaca.
La forma llamó inmediatamente mi atención.
Era una sombra sencilla, creada por un objeto cotidiano de mi propia casa, pero al retirar el cojín pude descubrir una imagen diferente que probablemente había estado allí muchas veces sin que yo la notara.
Me gustó la manera en que la luz dibujaba el brazo de la butaca y creaba una segunda forma, más oscura, junto a él.
Me hizo pensar que a veces solo necesitamos cambiar la manera en que miramos las cosas conocidas para descubrir algo interesante.
Así que, en lugar de continuar con la limpieza, me detuve un momento, saqué mi teléfono móvil y capturé la sombra.
Y aquí está, mi pequeño descubrimiento, que decidí compartir con ustedes para el concurso de esta semana.
