Seeking XP, I traveled to Ineb-Hedjet Nome and scouted Akronisos Camp using Senu. After a stealth attempt failed, a lit brazier brought fierce enemy reinforcements, including a deadly Phylake. Through tactical retreats, fierce combat, and utilizing a high tower for recovery, I defeated all foes and freed a captive.
I first traveled to Ineb-Hedjet Nome, hoping I would find some easy targets there to increase my experience points.
Upon arrival, I decided to fly Senu to check around the area and locate an optimal target. I immediately spotted a question mark over a nearby landmark, revealing some bandits patrolling the perimeter.
Among the structures, I also noticed a prisoner who was caged, prompting me to investigate the area further with the intention of saving him.
As I approached, I observed local farmers working peacefully on the field, which beautifully contrasted the harsh reality of the nearby outpost. It looked like a vibrant flower garden, which was quite a cool sight to behold despite the danger ahead.
Soon enough, I reached the location, which was known as Akronisos Camp. There was a guard posted right at the entrance, so I moved into position to take him down quietly first.
However, another guard remained close to his position, forcing me to wait for a moment to avoid immediate detection. I whistled from the brush to lure the target toward me, and once he stepped close enough, he was dealt with swiftly.
With the entrance clear, I moved inside the camp, but someone saw me almost instantly. The alarm was raised, and enemies began rushing toward my position. To make matters worse, a nearby brazier was lit, signaling that reinforcements were on their way.
I quickly realized that I had taken the wrong path, as the camp flooded with fresh troops, including an elite captain.
Suddenly, a formidable Phylake entered the fray, complicating the battle significantly. Having already activated my power boost, I tried to overpower the incoming wave, but my health depleted rapidly under their relentless assault.
Understanding that I was dying, I chose to run away from the immediate chaos to regenerate some health. But the reinforcements kept chasing me, without giving me a chance to heal up.
Senu helped me by distracting some guards, though it was not entirely enough to shake them off as they kept me in their sights.
The situation became incredibly complicated with the braziers lit, but I managed to turn my focus toward the charging Phylake. I engaged him directly, realizing that he did not look too tough compared to others I had faced in the region.
And I successfully brought the elite warrior down.
Needing another moment to recover, I ran toward a tower and climbed to the top to hide. After my health restored, I returned to the ground to finish off the remnants of the camp.
I intercepted the fleeing soldiers, refusing to let them survive after they had tried so hard to kill me. I delivered the final blows to the remaining defenders, completely securing the area.
I returned to the Phylake to confirm the kill, and with the captain dead, I looted the main treasure chest to complete the location objective.
Finally, I broke open the cage of the captive, telling him he was free and asking for his prayers. The successful raid yielded a substantial amount of experience points along with great loot.
I'll show more of my photographic journey of the games soon, so stay tuned to my blog if you liked them.
