This is probably the hardest post I have written in a long time because I cannot seem to come up with something unique to share. My week has been quite busy as I am currently house hunting.
So for this post, I will share some (or one) outrageous thing I have done in my life. To be honest I cannot think of many because I am quite conservative. However, I have done one outrageous thing that almost cost me my life.
This incident happened last year. I and a supposed friend of mine were bored so we were cruising around town. My friend happens to be very rich and bored, which is never a great thing.
So that specific day he was craving brownies (laced with marijuana). I am not a pothead. The idea of smoking anything doesn’t sit well with me. The very first time I puffed weed I felt nothing and the whole thing seemed pointless to me.
My friend told me that the brownies were different and more potent. I did not believe it. For some reason, I felt I could not get high given my previous experience. So my supposed friend tried to prove me otherwise.
We got the brownies later on in the day and I tried it out. I ate the first stick and I felt nothing. My friend suggested I eat it fast to have its desired effect. In retrospect, I think i was pretty stupid and it almost cost me my life.
I rushed the first brownie and nothing happened. Then I decided to have another--two more and I ate both quickly. All of a sudden we both started laughing (he had one as well). For some reason, everything felt funny until it wasn’t.
I went back home still feeling happy. I got into my room and tried sleeping but that was when i started feeling paranoid. All my senses were heightened and at some point, i lost sense of reality. I was insane for a couple of hours.
During that period I had several seizures. I was moving in and out of consciousness. I remember my vision blurring into coloured patterns. When I regained consciousness I could not make sense of the world around me.
I was trapped in my mind and for me, this was more than any pain that I have ever experienced. At some point it felt permanent--my inability to make sense of the world and that scared me the most.
Fortunately for me, my friends were able to revive me to normal after several hours. After that experience, I dread anything that looks, tastes or feels like weed. I don't care about its health benefits, I just don't want it in my system.
So that's the most outrageous thing I have done. Moral of my story: don't get bored and don't do drugs. Thank you!
