REST

This is not a cry for help, but a plea for rest.
My soul wanders restlessly,
My thoughts entwine in a confused knot
All I yarn for is an endless rest
A blissfully sleep throughout eternity

I pray for closure,
A means of escape.
I drench my spirit in alcohol,
I've tried laughter for my pain,
But it aches and echoes in my soul,
The irritating whispers of despire.

Free me from my sorrow;
Free me from life's meaningless struggles.
Welcome me into your cold calm,
Numb my pain.

This is not a cry for help,
But a kind request for rest.
I'm sick and tired,
I'm broken and confused,
I need rest
