No one deserves anything for doing shit! And that should not be the basis for accepting any proposal. If you want to work for or on the blockchain make your intentions known prior to the time you commence your work. This is my tip to anyone who wants to build anything here and doesn't belong to any cliche. You won't be as lucky as some people.
As a content creator and a supporter of the hive blockchain, I have heard these lines numerous times from top stakeholders and even consensus witnesses.

I wasn't on twitter trolling and fighting against the hostile takeover by Justin with the intent of being rewarded for it. I did do it. It was effective. I have my engagement and impression report to prove it. Should I get paid for it? Certainly nothing. It would be nice but it's not necessary.
I read part of the said proposal. It doesn't sit well with me. If indeed someone was working on getting the hive token listed with the intention of getting paid then the community should have known about it but the community doesn't matter I guess. I wish someone would have told me. I probably would have spent all that creative time I spent fighting earning my pennies.

That has been our mantra for the longest time and probably we should stay consistent and not pick and choose when to apply our logic. My two-cent: if you could do the work without getting paid then you shouldn't be bothered about getting paid but that's not the case. I think she knew she would get paid for her efforts. There were supposedly backroom discussions prior to the proposal. The proposal is just a formal representation of what was agreed upon by our oligarchy. The community input is insignificant because it's quite clear, it takes just a few votes to approve a proposal.
I really don't care what they do with DHF, time has a way of exposing people. I do care about how they try to make things seem transparent while in actual fact it isn't--it never is. Stop the lies. You really don't need the community input when you've already agreed on what to do. Do as you please. It's not my money. It is the community whales money so they can do as they see fit. The only thing I do have control over is my account.
I think we are back to reality now. The whole hysteria of a new chain is dying now and we are beginning to see what steem hive was prior to all the drama. Getting listed on major exchanges doesn't mean your project is worth anything. Hey, tron is above hive in market cap with all their shitty dapps and no use case. Personally, nothing significant has happened here since the chain launched about two months ago if I am not mistaken except the pump which is majorly a thrill for speculators. It doesn't reflect the work and value of this chain and that's why I know it was not sustainable.
The 30k proposal will be accepted. It's a done deal. I am not losing sleep over that. I hope developers come out to ask for outrageous sums for their projects as well, so we can pump their bags. Hey, I started getting upvotes above $10 some months backs so it's more money for everybody right? Cheers.
