The said 50-50 reward is said to do the following things:
•Make (manual) curation more profitable than delegating to bots
• Help solve the distribution problem on steem
First of all, I think bots are here to stay. We have seem a high level of automation on the steem blockchain in recent times. This will keep on increasing because people want to do more with less (time). The ratio, if changed, can still be worked around by bot owners to make them profitable.
However, I think a more potent way to solve this said issue is investing in communities. Steem communities have stopped playing their initial role which is to discover new steemians and content and help them grow. I believe if communities are revamped we can have a healthier blockchain and solve the distribution problem. It will be in the best interest of high stakeholders to invest in communities because they can bring about the desired changes we want on the steem blockchain.
Through communities driven projects we can have physical presence in different parts if the world.
