Hi everybody. How are you? I hope you are alright. Last week, I met my friends at a cafe called Unik Space which is close to my boarding house. What did I talk about at the meeting? We just asked how each other was doing. Remember, we don't see each other often.
Talking about this cafe, coincidentally this cafe has just opened. I haven't had the chance to visit here yet. So, we decided to meet at this cafe. What do I like about this cafe? I am very interested in the architecture of this cafe. Oh yes, there are two things that impressed me about this cafe, the architectural style and the food.
Architectural Style
The architectural style in this place combines minimalist and modern styles. In Indonesia, this minimalist architectural style has been popular for the last 10 years. The characteristic is that it uses concrete roofing and follows a plain basic shape without ornamentation. And uses two combinations of materials. This can be seen from the cafe building. This style is effortless and doesn't require a large budget. And in this cafe, we get rid of many unnecessary parts.
The ornaments in this cafe are elementary. The existing caricatures do not contrast with the architectural style of this cafe. So, I interpret that the roof of this building is flat. There are no windows in this cafe. So, air or wind can enter the room. So, the cafe feels cool and doesn't cost a lot of electricity.
Food and Drink
My friends and I ordered snacks, a mixed platter containing sausages, potatoes, nuggets, and others. It's enough to be our chat companion. For drinks, of course, I ordered my favorite coffee. Lemonade Americano. Other friends ordered cappuccinos and tea. For coffee, it tastes the same as the one I ordered at my favorite cafe. As for the price, according to him, it is quite cheap. Maybe because it's still new.
Other foods are also sold here. There's pasta and rice. Apart from that, there are fried noodles. Similar to other cafes, this cafe provides a variety of food and drinks. I've never worked here. Maybe, one day I will work here. I like the design and food. Here's my story, see you in the next story.
