The inspirations I usually have at midnight are baffling, and most times, I just make the most use of them while they last. As a blogger, I don't thrive well in a noisy environment, no matter how little the noise is. I feel easily distracted, and writing a blog in that state is a no-no.
At times, when I am reading a blog with little noise from the background, I get lost; I may read a whole blog with nothing to comment on, and that's how severely I battle with noises around and concentration.
It's interesting to know that some people are not distracted by this same noise that deals with me. For instance, my sis living with me can comfortably read her book or write a post while my kids are making noise and jumping around the house. I don't know how she does that, but most times, I found her still focused while the noise was ongoing. It's unlike me; even if I am in my room and overhearing their noises in the living room, I will be cut off completely from whatever I am doing with my brain. I can only work better with no single noise at all. This is why I found myself developing most of the topics I write on Hive during the midnight hours.
The midnight is very calm, quiet, and noise-free. A kind of atmosphere that helps inspiration to flow within me without interruptions. I have up to five post drafts currently waiting for finishing touches, edits, and picture insertion. All of these posts were crafted during the midnight hour when none of my kids are awake to distract me or natural environmental noises to put me off the key. I love the atmosphere of calmness and don't fail to utilize it more often before continuing with my sleep.
This midnight inspiration is Not only about writing content on Hive, but also cutting across my interest in singing. I sing in my church, mostly worship songs. At midnight, I found myself connecting with deeper worship songs, and what I do whenever such inspiration embraces me is to put on a recording on my phone and begin to record as the songs flow. Then during the day, I will replay it, and when I need them in the church, the results become amazing.
The other times, I wrote about the lifestyle I adopted from my mom, which is praying at midnight always, and aside from that, crafting my posts and penning down songs at night are other activities I do during the midnight.
Overall, life is about finding out what works best for you; it's a win-win.
