I have been an early riser right from my teenage age, a lifestyle grandma made me to cultivate while I lived with her. However, it's always a privilege to see a new dawn, and beginning it with a heart of gratitude seems right from my end. As early as 5am, I am already up, and my morning usually starts with prayers, acknowledging my maker for the gift of a new day. Having coffee as my breakfast has the advantage of getting my entire body activated for the day's activities.

Unlike the days of my 9-to-5 job when I usually rush out early in the morning and have my coffee at the later day in the office, my morning routine has changed. Back then in the office, the MD was the first person to introduce coffee to me. I was the admin assistant then. He is such a coffee lover and had packs of coffee stored in the cabinet. Every staff is entitled to having a cup of coffee by 10 a.m. As the admin assistant, then, I do ensure to set up the office first before having my coffee, and once taken, till noon before I will take my lunch. Those days, I took coffee with natural honey every day. I never liked taking a plain coffee, but funny enough, I stopped taking coffee when I resigned from the job.

Recently, my husband has noticed my morning routine with coffee and asked what's so unique about me and coffee every early morning. The truth is that my experience with coffee back then was unique, and I felt that I shouldn't allow that to die off. In my home, everyone is used to taking tea, but I drifted from tea to coffee recently after reflecting on how coffee does magic with my body system back then while I was an employee.

Before getting started with my daily activities, I do have my warm coffee, and it just sets my body system aright.

I never had a cold coffee; I just love it warm, especially for someone like me who takes it very early in the morning before showering. On getting to my kitchen, I have my drinking water heated up and gently pour coffee into my favorite mug. Below, you will notice that I use 3 in 1 coffee, a mixture of coffee, milk, and sugar. Is either I use this type or use the plain coffee with honey.

The sweet aroma that comes with this coffee usually hits me differently. I will gradually sip my warm coffee, sometimes with a snack, and sometimes I take it all alone. Since I work from home now, I do not hurriedly sip my coffee but take it one sip at a time while reflecting on my day activities, setting my mind right for the task ahead.

I have noticed how I feel lighter after having my warm coffee, and it also serves as breakfast for me. It makes me energetic, and I see myself doing my daily duties without feeling any form of heaviness. This is the routine I have been following most of the days except the day I feel unusual and so down to leave my bed just too early; any other breakfast can flow. But so far, my morning routine with coffee has been a good experience that makes my day great.
