It's Wednesday so that means another Expat Day at Mango. They do not open until noon and it's not quite 9 am yet, so still some time to go.
In the meantime, I went for a walk this morning. It turned out pretty good actually. We (Tom & I) left around 6:15 (a little earlier than normal) and it was very cloudy, so no sun. I did not have to stop to rest (usually it's at least once) and I only required 1 small bottle of water (usually it's 1 medium and 1 small). Also, I was not as tired when I got back home. I'm taking all those things as good signs. I will be heading out again tomorrow for another walk. I hope it will be just as productive as the one this morning. I hope to be able to get used to it enough that I can go walking on my own without having to have someone to push me. If I ever do get to that point, I'm sure I will be leaving the house between 5 and 6 am every morning. Less heat & humidity during those hours. I hope to walk every morning, except Monday morning because I will be up all-night watching Sunday football.
My wife is off to buy more fish and vegetables this morning. She has been getting out and about a lot more recently. Before that she was too much of a home body. Rarely left the house for anything. Now she goes there to shop, but it cost $20-$30 every time she goes. I need for her to get out to do something that doesn't cost money.
I'm calling this post my "Pre-Expat Day Morning" because I will be doing another post to let you know all the things that went on during our Expat Day.
All these posts could be a day late if I already had something else scheduled to post to this blog. Like this morning I did have something, and it should have posted about 6 minutes ago. I'll try to get them in before my poems and other stories, so you won't get too far behind on the goings on around here. So, I'll post this tomorrow morning and the post I write this afternoon will be posted Friday morning (since I already had one post today. Otherwise, I would post this now and then this afternoon, tomorrow).

Howdy y’all. It’s me, ninong7 aka UJ aka John. Just a short intro about myself. I am a Texan that has retired in the Philippines. I moved to the Philippines with my wife back in May 2010. I am retired from the US Air Force. The music I like is mostly Classic Country and Classic Rock. I guess you could say that I am “Classic”. I play dominoes when I can find someone that will play, I play chess, cribbage, spades, hearts, Empire Builder, Rail Baron, Acquire and a few other games. I like to write poems and stories (although pretty novice) and I love learning about history, just about any history.
