Every institution needs a leadership and so do our countries. A country without leadership is a country in doom because who’s making rules for who and who’s making sure rules are being obeyed.
To me, it’s just normal for every country to have a leadership. In leading a country, money is needed in conducting some projects here and there, and that’s when generating revenue from taxes from the citizens and other initiatives taken up by the country come to play.

Sometimes the whole leadership agrees to it. Can you imagine the leadership of my country came to a decision to provide all the parliamentarians with a brand new V8 each.
Fact is, these people do not have any use for these vehicles because most of them have better cars than what they are being provided. Citizens are out there suffering and parliamentarians are enjoying the fruits of their labor on unnecessary stuff.
To top it all, these vehicles are being secured with a $28 million loan. Whew!
Upon all the hardships in the country our government is asking all citizens to contribute for the country to build a national cathedral. The citizens got so furious at this announcement because who would have thought that the government would think of channelling the tax payer’s money into building a cathedral.
Are there not enough churches in the country already?
This issue led to lots of demonstrations and what have you which all fell on deaf ears.
The government seems to look away from things that need improvement on the country and rather focus on stuff that are not necessary. Maybe they need to go out there and experience the real life out there instead of just sitting in their fully furnished offices and coming up with jokes like this. lol.
Our education sector , most especially the high school level is such a mess now. Since the introduction of the free senior high school system students performance in the West African Certificate Examinations have been a total disaster.
This is because these students are not receiving the quality education they deserve. They are even unable to have three means a day in their boarding houses and the government has shown no interest in improving the standard of living of our siblings and children in high school.
Are they not supposed to be the future leaders?
What is the future going to look like after all this?
The public employment sector is choked and this has led to the government’s decision to freeze employment in the public sector. The number of employees on the government payroll has experienced a drastic hike over the past years.
Some of these employees in higher ranks also employ their family members who are not even fit for the job instead of employing the qualified ones.
These activities are being kept in the dark by the same people whom we have entrusted the development of our country to.
What are the new graduates and old ones in the system do for a living? How would the crime rate in the country reduce?
The government needs to reevaluate the employees on their payroll so as to get rid of all those who are not supposed to be there to create an opportunity for the qualified.
Not forgetting our health sector which is not a story to write home about. Our agricultural sector also needs a lot of work.
Sometimes we sit and wonder what our taxes are used for.
In all, we pray for better management abd improvement in the country’s economy.
