As individuals, we all have things we do in our lives be it work, school or other side activities. And all these things require us to have some sort of tools to make that happen. For example , if you’re enrolled in a swim class, you’d most definitely need a swim suit for your class. Same goes with needed a ball for your football lessons or needing a book for your classes at school. All these things contribute to make life whole for us all to some extent.
And the good part of all this is that, we don’t just do one thing the entire day. Most of us have to go to work, take care of our families and also engage in some social events and activities on the side. There’s always that work life balance for most people. When it comes to work, we have people who are strictly nine to fivers and those who are freelance workers. Then there’s those who do a bit of both of these for the extra income. Either way, the goal is to have a stable source of income.
I wouldn’t really know where to classify myself here because I’m a bit of both. Anything that brings money, count me in and thinking about it now, I think this explains why and how I’m extra busy and exhausted all the time. Regardless, I still do what I do because I love what I do. In my field, there’s a lot of tools I have to work with depending on what I’m up to. But if there’s that one too that I need very much regardless of where I am and what work I’m doing, it would have to be my laptop.
I remember not having my laptop on a one week trip due to some issues and I can’t tell you the struggle was real because my work was slowed down ten folds just by not having my laptop. Most of the work I do is on my laptop and it’s the one device I carry around almost all the time aside my phone because you never know when you’ll need to work or get something done. So, I’d say that one work tool for me would be my laptop and having it is going to stall my work so much that I’d be worried to death.
I mean, I could do some of the stuff I do on my laptop on my phone but it’s not the same. As much as my phone can do the job, nothing beats the accuracy that comes with using my laptop to work. It just comes with some level of ease and fulfillment I can’t really seem to explain. At this stage in my life, having my laptop around me all the time is no longer a need, it’s a necessity since I could lose so much work time by not having it around. The good thing is, my laptop is quite portable and so I have no problems carrying it with me all the time.
