Hello guys,
I hope you’re having a good day and enjoying your week. Today, I want to share with you my entry to this weeks writing prompt for the hive students hub community. I’ve read so many entries and I have laughed and learnt a lot from you all.

In my part of the world , we spend literally our whole childhood in school and we don’t even realise it because it is a way of life now. From a tender age till you grow to become an adult you find yourself in classrooms for about 90% of the time. Surprise right?
For me, I would say I spent about 97% of my life in classrooms and when I look back I realise the impact it has had on my life. Aside learning and making friends, we are all bound to make mistakes but most of the time the mistakes we make arise from our decisions. Sometimes the decisions we make cause us a lot and we later look back and wish we can get the opportunity to right the wrong.
Now let’s talk about my Senior High school life. I wouldn’t say I really had a life in senior high school as it was the same thing over and over again. I wasn’t used to change until I got to senior high school. Meeting new people, studying in a different environment, eating different food and being taught by different teachers were all new to me. But no one really cared so it was up to me to adjust and I did. Today I look back and realise the many opportunities I failed to grab in my high school days.
First off, I was a day student and for some reason most of my friends in university tell me to go back to senior high school and have a feel of the boarding house. Truth is, I have seen what the boarding house has done to some individuals both good and bad. I don’t really think being in the boarding house is a big deal but I would want to go back and have a feel of it so I can understand what @yahuzah is always pestering my life over.
You’d be surprised someone as active as myself lost interest in a whole lot of stuff as I started senior high school. Can you imagine I didn’t even like assembly not to talk of worship. I mean who would want to stand for about an hour listening to old people repeat the same thing over and over again. Sigh. I attended a few programs that were organised on campus and others on other campuses. It was all fun but I feel I didn’t really allow myself to enjoy the moment. Do I ever allow myself to enjoy the moment? Well I guess it depends. Another thing I will do differently if I got the chance to is to have a lot of fun. And when I say a lot I mean a whole lot.
Back in primary and junior high school I was found in all clubs aside those I wasn’t interested in. It surprises me now that I didn’t make good use of most of these clubs in senior high school. Some of these clubs came with a whole lot of opportunities you wouldn’t image. My school made sure the students were actively involved in anything student related both on campus and outside campus. You would see clubs going for competition here and there, coming back home as winners with a lot of joy and all but nothing still pushed me to join. I guess I wasn’t motivated enough. I would make sure to grab all of these opportunities if I got the chance to go back to high school.
As they say, we learn from our mistakes and I did. I wouldn’t say these were mistakes per se but I still learnt from there. Today I’m a much better person who always aims for the best.
I hope you enjoyed reading this. Do enjoy the rest of your day. Thank you.
