To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides.- David Viscott

Love is part of human nature and so is pain. No one goes into a relationship with another person for the purpose of inflicting pain on them but most relationships experience such instances.

Being in a romantic relationship with another person means you love the person and you wish to make good memories with them. It’s not all roses everyday. There’s bound to be misunderstandings once in a while but too much of it can be toxic to both parties. Being in a relationship means you’re ready to compromise for the other person, share your good and bad days with them while helping each other grow.

Today, I want to share with you a few tips to spice up your relationship and also help you understand your partner better.

The first on the list is communication. Most relationships go down the drain because one or both parties fail to communicate with the other person which mostly leads to misunderstandings and more. Once you’re in a relationship, you should communicate whatever you’re feeling to your partner when you are feeling it. You shouldn’t just harbour everything within you. If they did something wrong which you didn’t like, voice out so they learn from their mistakes and be better for you instead of staying mute.

Next, forgiveness is key in a relationship. No one is perfect and that’s okay. As individuals, I don’t think it should be difficult for us to forgive our partners when they do something wrong to us. Even God forgives us when we do wrong. Depending on how their act affects you, I think you should still find a place in your heart to forgive your partner cos it’s only then you would have peace to move on with your relationship if you wish to.

Moving on, once in a relationship you should learn to give. Giving in the sense that you should try to surprise your partner with gifts no matter how small they are. It’s the intention that matters. Giving your partner gifts is another way of showing love and appreciation. You shouldn’t always be on the receiving end.

Also, it is important to know your partners love language. We all have our love language. I bet we all know what that means by now. You don’t necessarily need to ask your partner blankly but it shouldn’t be difficult to find through keen observation. You should know what your partner likes and what makes them feel most loved to avoid doing things that wouldn’t make them feel loved. Sometimes we think we are doing to right thing when to them, we aren’t . It’s more like you putting in effort without seeing the benefits. Once you know your partner more, you’d know how to go about things to have a peaceful and long lasting relationship.

To conclude, don’t be hard on yourself. You deserve love and you should enjoy every moment you get to spend with your loved ones. If you’re single( change your attitude 😂) , be open minded and love will find you when you’re not even looking.

I hope these tips help spice up someone’s relationship today. Sending love and light to you.❤️
