All Work And No Play: Come With Me To Our Fresher’s Week Float
My school is not one to have a lot of extra curricular activities for the students. I think this is due to the fact that most of the students are all about book and church lol.

For the past year, things have changed because there seem to be a few people like me who are always ready to party and wouldn’t want to miss any event. After all, all work and no okay makes Nhaji a dull girl.
This semester, the SRC in collaboration with the school hostels organized a freshers week for the freshers on campus. The freshers week started on 27th February and is to come to an end on 6the March.

The first two programs were sort of official and it’s obvious you won’t find me there. There was a mega float on the 3rd day which was on Thursday. That’s more like my kind of program.
I haven’t been able to go to the gym or go for a run since I came to campus so I decided to use this opportunity to exercise my body.
Surprisingly, all my lectures for the day were canceled so why would I miss this float? The float was to start at 3pm but unfortunately for me, 
We left the hostel around 5:30pm and when we arrived on campus we realized they had left a long time ago so we had to catch up with them.
I took a couple of pictures because why shouldn’t I? I decided to wear my hive t-shirt just incase I met a curious person like myself.
The sky looked different today so I decided to test my photography skills.
We got to the main road and tried to get a tricycle to catch up with the others but there was none. So, we had to was as fast as possible.
We finally caught up with them at the hospital
To my surprise, there were just a few people. Other were still on their way. The music was sort of bad because I didn’t know most of the songs.😂
Within a few minutes, more people joined and the dancing begun.
I didn’t feel like dancing because I didn’t want to get exhausted at the beginning of the whole show.
As you can see, couples were coupling while singles were singling.
It was all fun with funny and various dance moves.
We arrived at the town square and at this point I decided to unleash my dance skills.😅
Before I could do that , we run out of fuel so the music stopped. What a killjoy.
Since there was no music I decided to take a picture. This guy came from nowhere and spilt my picture. It was even funny at the end.😂
Those going to buy fuel for the car got back within a few minutes and the music begun.
This time we were on our way back to campus and it was almost 7pm

We danced till we got to campus and that was after 8pm.
We made a stop at the school supermarket at the roadside. The dancing continued while others left.
From there we went to the ladies hostel which was the last stop. The dancing continued till 9pm when we decided to leave cos we were exhausted. I arrived at the mostly at around 10pm.
I had so much fun at the float but guess who was late for class the next morning.😅
In all, the float was fun and violence free. I expected better but you can always have what you want. Can you imagine even
