In Africa, most countries have a history of witchcraft, supernatural powers and the likes. Our forefathers who used to worship lesser gods were actually in contact with these spirits, some good and some bad. But in all , we still hear their stories being told till today. Today I want to also share my story about the unseen world. Fortunately for you I have two stories to share so grab and seat and some popcorn.🤗
I attend an all girl’s senior high school in my city and in Ghana, all senior high schools have history that is being passed down from generation to generation. My school had weird stories they passed down to all newbies and no one knows for sure if they were true but some of the stories are actually true as we were able to witness them ourselves.
The first weird story all schools used to scare fresher was the ‘madam moke’ story. They claim she was a spirit of a former house mistress and when the bell was rung for lights out she would come in her heels walking around the dormitories making the ‘kro chia, kro chia’ sound with her heels and any student who was up at that time and met her would have met a ghost. For that I believe is a lie.😂
The second and real story I witnessed was about this man called Guy gee. The story was that he was a strong man who no one had ever met and no know knew where he stayed but he always came around the dormitories at night time to pick up the students used sanitary pads. No one knew what he was using them for but we believed he was using them for blood money. We were told that if he meets you face to face upon his arrival there’s a high change you wouldn’t go freely because he would give you two options to choose from. The first was for him to kill your and the other was for him to rape you. The ball will then be in your court.
One of our seniors who had an encounter with him right before we came to school had her right fingers cut off when she met him face to face and was presented with these two options and she didn’t choose either so he drew out his knife to kill her and in her quest to save her life she held the knife which led to her fingers being cut off. This took place in the bathroom of her dormitory and when that happened her blood splashed all over the washroom wall. She screamed and people came out but before they could realise the man was nowhere to be found.
Now, to the interesting part. Her blood that splashed on the wall during her encounter with guy gee is history in the school till today.The following day , the house mistress assigned students to wash it off the wall but guess what? After they wash it off the blood comes back like it was never washed off. I believe this has something to do with some spiritual stuff because in the end that bathroom had to be sealed and till today it is still sealed.
Fortunately for this senior of ours, she was able to save her life but unfortunately for her she lost her fingers and she had to learn to use her left hand to write since her WASSCE exams was in a few weeks time. This incidence had a great effect on the school populace and measures were put in place by the school administration to avoid such occurrences again.
These are just a few among the numerous stuff that exist in our societies which we have no clue about and that is why it is important that we all protect ourselves in all aspects of life because life can be scary at times.
