Another interesting Season as the community continues to deal with challenges around the markets and what I am calling the game within the game. I have come to think that the real game within Splinterlands is the economy and decisions to make related to each individual鈥檚 goals. In my case, I have committed to continue to build a strong collection to balance the aspects of the economy and the game.

Performance continues lower as the new cards continue to change the meta. In addition, the new players and their access to the cards have continued to make competition tough despite having a strong Collection. Skills are definitely taking the front stage at the moment as I believe it should.

As competition has intensified, the amount of cards I am getting from Rewards have diminished. Luckily, I have not had the need to accumulate more but I now also have the option to buy them in the market given the decline in prices. The supply of cards is providing a good opportunity to do so at the moment.

While I had thought to use my SPS to continue building my Collection, the reality is that SPS seems like the better value at these prices. I have recently intensified my staking given my views.

I may be losing my edge on the game aspect of the ecosystem but I think the overall economy continues to evolve in a way I can continue to allocate time and resources for a stronger Collection in the long run. Despite the current slowdown being seen, I continue to think highly of the future as cycles have been part of the ecosystem for some time and the community always comes out stronger on the other side.
