I finally got around to fixing the bathroom hot tap that had not really been working for more than a year. Well, sort of. It started to seize up and get really tight. I could get a trickle of water out if it then had a hard time trying to turn it off. If I had gotten onto it straight way, it may have been a simple clean and grease, but leaving so long meant I broke the short spindle top trying to get it to working again. It was getting late in the afternoon, but our big chain hardware was still open. Our house is so old they didn't have a straight swap replacement. I should have just waited and gone to the proper plumbing supply shop the following day, but I the water turned off to the house. So I pushed on, getting 2 different products that did the job.
