A fresh minus 8 degrees Celsius on our first day of skiing at the Rusutsu Resort on the Japanese island of Hokkaido. More snow than I have ever seen before, even though it was a very late start to their winter.
These photos were from the West Mountain beginners area where we were warming up and trying to get our ski legs back.
It was a bit of a late start to the morning as it took a while to organise ski hire.as just about everything in Japan, it pays to be organised and book in advance wherever possible.
The blue sky was great for visibility and touring all over the Resort, stay tuned for more photos and reports.
