Another stick insect on our afternoon walk after a very hot and busy day. They must really enjoy this time of year and weather as we have seen a lot of the over the past couple of days.
There was also this Blue tongue lizard in our front yard, I think he or she lives behind out back yard hot water system as we quite often hear and see him. It can give us a bit of a fright as it can look like a snake between all the rocks. photo credit @consciouscat.
I was up early for some cycling before we headed to our local direct factory outlet for a bit of retail therapy shopping and a lunch date.
We did a short walk at Nudgee Beach wetlands in the full midday sun, after the shopping and lunch which helped the food settle, but it was extremely hot and humid. It was still worth the effort to see somewhere new.
My last 7 days workouts, still no running but the ankle is starting to feel much stronger with all the walks, cycling and extra strengthening.
