How wonderful it would be to achieve success quickly in music, without having to invest years in studies and preparation. Just use your talent, no more complications. This has always been Bekky's wish. She loves spending hours imagining what it would be like to achieve everything in music in the blink of an eye. Sometimes she listens to her favorite song and imagines herself singing it, with many people adoring her and loving what she does. But when the song ends and the noise of the world returns, she realizes that it was all a fantasy and that her wish can hardly be fulfilled in the way she wants, quickly and without complications.

Despite the setback she feels every time she finishes dreaming, she doesn't lose hope of finding a way to achieve what she wants. She feels a voice inside telling her that the universe will favor her if she keeps searching and doesn't stop trying. While waiting for the opportunity, she learns to sing at home, often watching tutorials. She doesn't have the money to attend music school or the time to take a formal course, so she learns on her own whenever she can.

Learning this way gives her a lot of flexibility with her time, because she can do it whenever she wants and at her own pace. But of course, it's not the same as learning in a specialized place, since there's no one to correct your mistakes or point out areas for improvement. And without that feedback, you can start to think you're doing everything right and that you've mastered singing. That's exactly what she was experiencing; she'd been learning on her own for a while and already believed she could sing very well.

Who would have thought it? Without expecting it or even calling for it, it seemed like opportunity was knocking on her door, and it was something she was eager to see. She was watching a movie at home when, as usual, an annoying commercial came on. Normally, she'd mute the TV at that point to avoid the ads, but not this one, because it piqued her interest. The commercial was about a talent competition in town. Contestants would come from various locations, but the venue would be right there in her own town. The competition was about talent, especially singing.

The winner would take home a substantial cash prize, and the best part: a scholarship to study music for free. And of course, the added bonus was the media exposure it would bring. Bekky realized that this competition was exactly what she'd been waiting for. If she won, she'd get the media attention she needed to get started, money, and the scholarship to further her education. It seemed the universe was answering her wishes. She rushed in without thinking and signed up for the auditions; it was time to show what she was made of.

But in her haste, she forgot many things. She had never sung in public, never sung for someone with experience to receive constructive criticism, and her knowledge was purely self-taught. That would obviously take its toll. Who would think about all that when you're excited and believe that this is your lucky break? Besides, everyone who seeks finds. She had the desire and believed she had the talent, and that was all it took. Well, the day of the competition arrived, and there she was, eager to shine. She knew she would win.

One after another, each contestant took their turn, and she began to realize something: her skills were far from reaching her level. Therefore, it would be an uneven playing field, but she should have known this before entering the competition. There was no turning back now; it was her turn, and what had to happen, happened. Although she desperately wanted to sing that day, her abilities were nowhere near up to the task. Her dream evaporated quickly, and she made a fool of herself in front of everyone. She received one of the lowest scores and branded herself with the audience as someone without talent.

The saying that those with talent and desire achieve what they want didn't hold true, and that was because she hadn't listened to her limitations beforehand. Nor did she have anyone to point them out to her. No matter how much you want something, if you know you're not up to the task, it's best not to force things, and Bekky unfortunately learned this the hard way. All is not lost, though; she'll just have to prepare better for next time, but without rushing. She will, however, have to live with the initial failure.
